Bronze skulls
Process!
This is Brandon and I at Pratt. I do all this work at Pratt where I can make large lost wax bronze sculptures or small silver jewelry.
Everything starts with wax that I carve or create from silicon molds that are filled with wax. The waxes are put into plaster , all the wax is melted out and molten metal is poured in. The waxes must have a sprue system which is the path the metal will flow down to fill the shape of the sculpture. I also need to make paths for gas to escape.
The process of making these sculptures has many steps and I love to do it!
